For Adoption

The Heritage Animal Hospital does not run any organized type of adoption program. As with other animal caring people we sometimes find ourselves caring for a homeless animal or a youngster we rescued. Please do NOT call us regarding a cat you need to give up or to find a home for it. Again, we do not accept cats or dogs as a humane society or animal control would do. Our staff needs to be focused on caring for our clients' loved ones.

We do charge an adoption fee since we have often put weeks of care, medical costs and lots of personal attachment into these pets. Expect us to be picky people regarding potential homes. Most of the animals have become part of our daily work life.

Please email us ( info@hahvet.com ) if you are seriously looking, financially able to provide the best care and possess a mature responsibility.

Adoption Fees: Male Cats - $65, Female Cats - $85

These little ones REALLY need your help. We are looking for about 20 very responsible pet owners for our babies. A Wonderful Client was feeding a group of feral cats at her place of work in the Detroit area. Someone complained and the local authorities were going to round up the cats. The client called us and our office manager, Shan, volunteered to care for them. We tested all the females for Leukemia and Lente virus as well as xrayed them for late stage pregnancy. Yep....they were ALL pregnant. There were over 20 little "kittens to be" under our care. Shan took the mothers to be home and soon had litters of babies. As they reach weaning age she is bringing them into the hospital for adoption placement. The kittens are being wormed and given their initial vaccinations. We are handling the kittens and enlisting the children of clients to handle them so they are well adjusted to people. We will NOT adopt these kittens out to someone unless they meet our requirements for a good home. Females are $65.00. Males are $50.00. Both include all kitten vx's, Felv/FIV test, any deworming nec and spay/neuter - IF clients return to HAH for all the services. Anyone not returning to HAH the adoption fee is $25 for male or female.

A very special thanks to the client who initiated the rescue of the mother cats. The client also donated money to pay for their spay surgeries.
