Several years ago Dr Cornprobst encouraged the doctors and staff in his original practice to embrace a protocol of minimal vaccines AFTER adequate juvenile / initial protection was created. It was at the time the first major practice in the Northwest Ohio / Southeast Michigan area to adopt such a protocol. It meant a substantial risk of income loss and the negative comments made by other practices regarding his chosen path. However it was just the right thing to do for the animals and the clients.
Dr Cornprobst does not believe that just because everyone else does it or it might lead to some imagined legal issues is any reason to back away from what is right. His beliefs are backed by several major researchers at multiple veterinary research centers. Thus the vaccine protocols at Heritage Animal Hospital follow the most current trend to vaccinate based on lifestyle and realistic risk of exposure.
