Our impression of what Excellence is probably differs from other practice philosophy's.
Excellence is not about:
- Putting "cutting edge" medicine ahead of client wishes or what the pet really needs.
- Putting pets through unnecessary procedures or stress if it's really not in the pets interest.
- Putting the doctor's values or the staff's comfort ahead of patient care or client convenience.
Excellence is:
- Being respectful of what clients are able to do for their pets.
- Being sensitive to what the pet feels and their comfort level.
- Being flexible in client service and patient care.
Excellence asks:
- Does the doctor feel they used all their knowledge and wisdom.
- Does the staff feel they gave their all in time and concern.
- Does the client feel they received attentive service at an appropriate fee.
- Finally, most importantly, does the pet gain a greater quality of life, relief from pain or tender care when it's needed at special times.
Only if every one of the above 4 goals are met for every client and every pet can it be said that Excellence has been done.
Thus we are continually striving to be
A Practice Of Excellence.
