Special Care for Cats

Cat Being Treated

Heritage Animal Hospital is proud to offer feline medicine services for cats in Dundee, Ann Arbor, Toledo, Monroe and the surrounding areas. We understand that cats have special medical needs. We strive to deliver a high standard of feline veterinary care focused on the comfort and well-being of your feline friend.

We know that bringing your cat to the clinic can be a stressful experience. Our professional team extends a warm welcome into our pet-friendly space, where we make every effort to ensure your cat feels safe and comfortable in our care. We offer a special “feline friendly” room to provide a quiet and calm atmosphere for you feline friend.

In addition to comprehensive wellness exams and in-house bloodwork screens, we offer a variety of medical treatment options for common feline conditions, such as urinary tract disease, internal parasite infections, and digestive issues (vomiting or diarrhea). Beyond both routine and advanced surgical procedures, we also have the ability to use an endoscope to evaluate nasal passages for polyps that may be causing your cat's constant stuffy nose.

Senior Cats

Senior cats require extra care and attention at their wellness visits. We offer advanced veterinary care for older cats diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, diabetes, heart disease, renal disease, and other chronic conditions. We’re also happy to answer any questions about what to expect as your cat grows older.

Yearly wellness visits are very important for your cat even if their vaccines are not due. These visits allow our doctors to identify problems with your cat that you may not have noticed as cats are very good at hiding pain. If you notice any strange behavior in your cat please schedule to have them evaluated as soon as possible by one of our veterinarians.
